He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Philip Hoekstra and Phyllis Hoekstra; his wife Sharon Hoekstra; his children, Matthew Hoekstra, Luke Hoekstra (Lucy Berger) and Aubrey Wilson (Scott); his siblings, Kim DeYoung (Danny), Jackie Owens (Doyle) and Tom Merino (Ann); his grandsons, Evan Hoekstra and Patrick Wilson; his great grandchild Juniper Hoekstra; and his daughter Andrea Hoekstra. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
