He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sweeney and Virginia Sweeney (Schofield); and his siblings, Timothy Sweeney, Diane Johnson and Barbara Hofsteader.
He is survived by: his spouse EveLynn "Diane" Sweeney (Tromp); his stepsons, Christopher, Craig (Darlene), Keith (Linda) and Kenneth Carlson (Tera); his grandchildren, Matthew, Ethan, Avery, Sarah, Anna and EveLynn Carlson; his siblings, John, Dennis, Michael and Peggy Sweeney; and his children, John, Edward and Thomas Sweeney.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, funeral services will be private for the family.
