He was predeceased by: his father Joseph P. Canniff Sr.; and his father-in-law Patrick J. Pitlik. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Canniff (Pitlik); his children, Joseph P. Canniff III, Jack Canniff and Katie Canniff; his mother Joan Canniff (Narkus); his brother Daniel Canniff; his mother-in-law Judy Pitlik; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Pitlik (Julie), Ron Pitlik and Mark Pitlik. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
