He was predeceased by: his father John VanHorn. He is survived by: his mother Jean VanHorn (Michael); his aunts, Karen, Shirley VanHorn, Nona VanHorn, Stephanie, Bryana, Brayden Meyers and Donte Richards; and his uncle Roger Bremmer.

A memorial has been established for the Friends Forever Humane Society in Freeport.
