It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betsy Jean Smith of Metamora, Illinois, born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 31, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover C. Wendle and Mildred F. Wendle (Barr); her daughter Karen Sue Diebel; and her brothers, Raymond E. and John D. "Duke" Wendle.
She is survived by: her husband Ed; and her children, Elisa C. Wiedeman (Craig) of Flagstaff, AZ, Edward Dodd II Smith (Julie L.) of Metamora and Cathy L. Rievers of Mattoon, IL. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
