It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thais E. Walter of Mendota, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Ward and Edith Ward (Washburn); her brother David Ward; and her stepsisters, Dolores and Ruth.
She is survived by: her brothers, Plumbing, Heating, Owner and Collector of Heartland Treasures; her husband Gerald L. Walter of Mendota; her children, Darice Childs of Mendota, Karen Tillman (Ken) of Earlville, Susan Krenz (Jim) of Mendota, Nancy Hulin (Karl) of Belle Fourche and Gerald Walter Jr. (Teri Schroetlin) of Ottawa; her sister Janice Reiter of Hampshire; and her sister-in-law Renate Ward of Green River, Arizona.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
