He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Koonce and Merena Koonce (Jay); his wife Juanita Bernice Spicer; his siblings, Bob, Don, Bill, Keith, Alene Trulock and Dorothy Gerhart; and his daughter-in-law Janet Koonce.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Koonce (Vicki) of Brownstown, IL., Michael Koonce (Kay) of Vandalia, Rev. Timothy Koonce (Polly Ann) of Wapella, Devra Yeakel (Charles) of Mendota and Jana Trembly (James) of Mendota; and his sisters, Arlene Gerwolls of Monroe City and Linda Sue Townsend (Charlie) of Vandalia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.
