He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Stepp and Hazel Myers Stepp; his wife Eleanor Rhoads; his children, Teresa Parker of Marshall, Scott Stepp (Mina) of Farmersburg, Todd Stepp of Marshall, Jeff Stepp of Marshall and Rick Stepp of Marshall; and his siblings, Doris Collier of Ohio, Jim, Donnie, Thelma, Elizabeth and Margaret. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
