He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hentges and Margaret Hentges (Pagel); and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Carlene Matthews of Aurora; his children, Bobbie Walley (Kent), Tom Smith (Carrie Rae) of Sycamore and Teresa Owens (Tim) of Marseilles; his grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kristin), Jordan, Caitlin Walley, Ashtin, Austin Smith, Logan Smith (Brittany) and Brandon Calhoon; his great grandchildren, Lena, Harlan and Kinsley; and his siblings, Laurel Oleson (Bob) and Mike Hentges (Judy).
