He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Hickey and Carol Hickey (Swinehart); his granddaughter Amber Hickey; his great grandchild Ellah; and his nephew Joseph Nelle.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Deborah Deskin; his children, Jayme Gretencord (Curt) of Ottawa and Sean Hickey of Marseilles; his grandchildren, Lindsay Lyon (CJ) and Connor; his great grandchildren, Payton, Ryleigh and McKenna; his siblings, Carol Grieves (Dale) of Marseilles, Ronald Hickey (Diana) of Ottawa, Donald Hickey (Cindy) of Oglesby, Joseph Hickey (Becca) of Missouri and James Hickey (Cindy) of Streator; and his sister-in-law Kathy Schlingman.
