He was predeceased by: his sister Gayle Strauss; and his stepbrother Jeff Dankert. He is survived by: his wife Sheryn Strauss (Nelson); his children, Julie Strauss of Marion and Jeffrey Rodgers (Bethany Strauss) of Trophy Club, TX; his sister Judy McGuire of LaPorte, IN; his grandchildren, Samantha Strauss of Trophy Club, TX., Josh Cawleti of Trophy Club, TX. and Elise Cawleti of Trophy Club, TX.; his stepsiblings, Cindy Kelly (Dankert) of Durham, NC, Roger Dankert (Deborah) of Bremen, IN and Jim Dankert; and also, Tim Rodgers, Christie Rodgers and Timmy Rodgers.
Louis A. Strauss, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2018, following a six year battle with Alzheimer's, at Reflections Memory Care in Carterville.
