He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grossen and Caroline Grossen of Marengo; his brother Charlie Grossen; and also, Dorothy, Irwin Jordahl, Nancy Gehringer, George Gehringer, Helen Gehringer and Carol Green.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Gehringer of Hampshire; his children, Scott Grossen of Shoreview, MN, Kelly, Todd Hall of Marengo and Amy; his grandsons, Cameron and Cole Egan; his siblings, John Grossen, Nancy of Chippewa Falls, WI and Lilly Grossen of Chippewa Falls, WI; his half-sister Adine; and his parents-in-law, Fritz, Alice Gehringer of Cherry Valley, Hank, Judy Gehringer of Hampshire, Ray, Janice Gehringer of Sycamore and Jack Green of Ingleside. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
