He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Murphy and Katherine Murphy; his grandson Ryan Adkins; and his siblings, Patrick Murphy, Jean Gaffey, Norene Brandt, Gerald Murphy, William Murphy, Leo Murphy, Joseph Murphy and George Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Lynda Adkins (Rich), Steve Murphy (Sheila) and Tim Murphy (Julie); his grandchildren, Reine Walsh (Tom), Ashley Murphy (Kevin Schuler), Brandon Murphy, Eric Murphy (Megan) and Brett Murphy (Jess McCorkle); his great grandchildren, Kaelynn, Alexa, Brynn, Kinsley, Mason, Harper and Koen; his sisters, Mary "Molly" Glog, Kay Buckman and Barbara Stover; and his sisters-in-law, Virginia Murphy and Donna Murphy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
