He was predeceased by: his parents, Mallory E Hale and Grace A. Hale (Sewell); his wife Lois Alfern Daugherty; his children, George Hale, Wayne Hale and Carolyn Hale; and his brothers, Allen Hale and Jack Hale.
He is survived by: his son Frank Hale (Jessica) of Santa Fe; and his stepsons, Ron McGee (Nancy) of Flora, Gary McGee of Louisville and Michael McGee of Flora. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Walter's memory to the Louisville American Legion Post #914, and will be accepted through the funeral home and at the cemetery.
