He was predeceased by: his parent Daniel Harmon; and his daughters, Heather Elaine Harmon and Holly Renae Harmon-Anderson. He is survived by: his parent Ellen F. Harmon (Lewis); his spouse Marcia McDowell; his children, Eric Lee Harmon of Effingham and Donna J. Bean of Mattoon; his grandchildren, Taylor Jenae Harmon, Mekenzie Jo Harmon and Haley Anderson; and his brother Reggie Harmon of Bible Grove. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
