It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Sue Clifton of Louisville, Illinois, born in Flora, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Wendling and Allene Wendling (Colclasure); and her parents-in-law, Riley and Martha Clifton. She is survived by: her husband Terry Clifton of Louisville; her children, Craig Clifton (Christina) of Louisville and Jennifer Iffert (Chad) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Austin Iffert, Erica Britton (Lawson), Kylie Iffert, Ashley McKnelly (Kyle) and Evan Clifton; her great grandchild Baylor Britton; her brothers, Gary Wendling (Jeanine) of Altamont, Vernon Dwaine Wendling (Kitty) of Effingham, Richard Wendling (Sara) of Mason and Don Wendling (Kathy) of Louisville; and her siblings-in-law, Jon Clifton of West Salem, Illinois and Ann Whitehead (Max) of Oxford, Mississippi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barb's memory to St. John's Lutheran Church, Clay County Hospice, or the Louisville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and will be accepted through the funeral home.
