It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kristine G. Monroe (Lockport, Illinois), who passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother Jeffrey Monroe; and her grandmother Henrietta Dietman. She is survived by: her wife Kayla Renee; her children, Kyle Billig (Danni) and Ryan Billig (Nichole); her parents, Rollin Monroe and Kathleen Montgomery (John); her brother Stephen Montgomery (Michelle); her nieces and nephews, Morgan and Grant; and her grandchildren, Harvey, Scottie, Bryce, Declan and Vance. She is also survived by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (https://givenow.lls.org) would be appreciated.

“Kayla and family, I’ one of Kris’s cousins. I was shocked to hear of her illness and death just recently.. My memories of Kris are childhood memories, filled with fun and joy: summertime up north, swimming, riding motorcycles, climbing trees. Five of us kids packed into two bunks in the trailer. Bonfires and boat rides. Our lives diverged by adolescence, but I hope she was happy and loved, because that’s all that matters, in the end. Blessed Be, Kris. My deepest condolences to you all.”
