He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hermsmeyer and Lillie E. Hermsmeyer (Stein); his wife Dona Marie Brookman; his son-in-law Robert J. Johnson; and his siblings, Ralph Hermsmeyer, Dr. Carl A. Hermsmeyer, Dorothy Hermsmeyer, Ethel Repp, Geneva Mercer and Myrtha Schmidt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Chris Johnson of Litchfield and Sherri Rundquist (John) of Butler; his grandchildren, Corey Johnson (Angela), Angela Johnson (Erik), John T. Rundquist (Kristal) and Tyler Rundquist (Victoria); his great grandchildren, August, Aspen Rundquist and Blair Johnson; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Andie, Charlotte and Daniel Foster.
Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran School in Litchfield.
