He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Funk and Katherine Funk (Semplowski); and his siblings, Charles, Joseph, Stanley, Walter, Louis, Frank, Regina Nail, Katherine Whitehouse and Stephanie Roush.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lu Gilly of Mary's Rectory; his children, Michael J. Funk (Alyssa Sloan) of Martinsburg, WV and Carolyn Engvalson (Kinley) of Port St; and his sisters, Sophie Southworth of Litchfield, Edna Nail of Litchfield and Helen Zimmerman of Dublin, OH. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
