He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Dunkirk, and Vivian Dunkirk, Sr. (Vincent). He is survived by: his wife Susan R. Firnhaber; his son Zach Dunkirk (Kelly) of Springfield; his sister Doris Enochs of Hillsboro; and his grandchildren, Claire and Corinne Dunkirk.

The family asks for memorials to be directed to St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield.
