He is survived by: his close friend Karen Hockett; his children, Joni Mayfield (Lonnie) of Norwood, MO and John Boerckel, IV (Shannon) of Hillsboro, IL; his grandchildren, John T. Boerckel, Cody Allen Boerckel, Leslie Tinsley (Chris) and Tyler Harris (Stephany); his stepgranddaughter Taylor Mayfield; and his siblings, Terry Boerckel (Joann) of New Douglas, IL, Nancy Brewer of Litchfield, IL and Carol Ondrey (Kenny) of Livingston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
