He was predeceased by: his parents, Olas Thompson and Mary Catherine Walls, Sr. (Grayson); and his siblings, Tommy D. Walls, Gary W. Whitledge, Olas T. "Dimp" Walls, Jr., Robert L. Walls and Linda Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, James R. Walls, II of Maryville, IL and Joseph D. Walls of Troy, IL; his siblings, Michael R. Mills (Vickie) of Poplar Bluff, MO, Janice Burris (Hugh) of Waterloo, IL, Donna King (Ronnie) of Hillsboro, MO and Louise Davis (Edward) of Sorento, IL.; and his grandson Waylon Brooks Walls.
