It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenn Warren Painter Sr. of Litchfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Benjamin "Peck" and Ethel Grace Painter (Saxby); his former wife Cleta Irene Wiseman; and his siblings, Robert, Roscoe, Frank, Paul, Billy, Richard, Maynard, John and Marie Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Glenn Painter, Jr. of Auburn, Anna Marie Watkins (Larry) of Ozark, MO, Pauline Freytag (Danny) of Benld, Jane Painter (Joe Ragsdale) of St. Louis, MO, Kathleen Painter of Raymond and Paul Painter (Shanel Rhodes) of Litchfield; his grandchildren, Stephanie Griffith (Jason), William Ellinger (Michelle), Dustin Ellinger (Dee), Douglas Ellinger (Kelli), Landon Painter and Erika Painter of Stonington; his great grandchildren, Dylan Boerckel, Kacie Boerckel, Shawnee Boerckel, Dominic Ellinger, Melody Ellinger, Alec Ellinger, Jayden Ellinger, Jayse Ellinger, Dalton Ellinger, Faith Ellinger, Elysse Ellinger and Braden Ebert of Stonington; his great great grandchild Brody Boerckel of Litchfield; and his sister-in-law Irene Painter of Litchfield. He is also survived by Numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family suggests memorials be directed to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, Litchfield Food Pantry or Meals on Wheels.
