He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Kreis and Margaret Kreis (Reinders); his former wife Margaret Ann Kesphler; his wife Betty E. Klekamp; his brother Kenneth Kreis; his son Richard K. Kreis; and his stepson Philip G. Klekamp.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda S. Smith (James) of Gravois Mills, MO, Nancy E. Welch (Jim) of Chandler, AZ, Ronald M. Kreis (Jennifer) of Mesa, AZ and Mark A. Kreis (Toni) of Shawnee, KS; and his stepdaughter Patricia A. Klekamp of Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
