He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Emmett Delaney, Sr. and Degree of DePaul University; his brother Lawrence Delaney (late Andrea); and his grandson Aiden Delaney. He is survived by: his son Kevin Delaney; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Delaney; his sisters, Kathleen Domm (William) and Ellen Delaney; his nieces, Jacqueline Moriarty (Benjamin Maki) and Sherri Burton (Kory); his nephew Sean Delaney (Trish Gorecki); and his great-nephews, Jack Burton and Eoin Delaney. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
