She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband David Newhouse; her children, Troy Newhouse of West Chicago, IL, Rodney Newhouse (Cindy) of Lincoln, IL and Tracy Maaks (Michael) of New Holland, IL; her sister Kimberly Thompson of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Rae Newhouse, Keagan Luther Newhouse, Michael Cody Newhouse, Mark Evan Maaks and Everett James Maaks; and her brother Clark Willhoite Jr.. She was also cherished by 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Karen's name to the Senior Oasis Center in Lincoln, IL or the American Diabetes Association.
