He is survived by: his daughter Rose Deterding (Ryan) of Chicago, IL; his mother Delores Hermanson of Lebanon, IL; his siblings, Jennie Hermanson, Nancy Hermanson of Highland, IL, Dennis Hermanson (Tracy) and Don Hermanson (Mary) of Ooltewak, TN; his granddaughter Poppy June Deterding; his friend Karen Morton; his nieces, Morgan Hermanson (Justin Mattea) and Sunny Weitkemper (Gabe); and his nephew Alex Hermanson (Kalee). He is also survived by extended family including many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
He was a past Worthy Patron of O'Fallon as well as the Worthy Grand Patron of the Illinois Order of Eastern Star from October 2020 to October 2022, serving an extra year due to COVID-19.
