It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Ruth Hock of Lebanon, Illinois, born in Trenton, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence George Hock; her son-in-law Earl Ebel; her granddaughter Jennifer Lippert; and her siblings, Ethel Bridges (Ralph) and Gerald Hirstein.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Ebel of Belleville and Joyce Mills (Paul) of Granite City; her grandchildren, Nicole White (Michael) of Apache Jct, Christine Lombardi (Joseph) of Edwardsville, David Mills of Collinsville, Douglas Mills (Christine) of St. Charles, John Mills (Sherry) of Glen Carbon, Julie Goin (Gregory) of Edwardsville and Laura Lebryk (Derrick) of Shiloh; her great grandchildren, Courtney Jones (Dario), Jennifer Barrett (James), Jesse White, Ben, Anna, Max Lombardi, Reese, Blake, Dean, Jenna Mills, Natalie, Lydia Mills, Zach, Emily, Sam Goin and Emma Lebryk; her great great grandchildren, Brayden Barrett, Brialeigh Barrett, Charlotte Barrett and Camden Barrett; and her sister-in-law Val Hirstein. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
