He was predeceased by: his brothers, Howard Groen Jr. and Robert Groen (Gerry); his parents, Howard Groen and Dora Groen; and his brother-in-law Henry (late Jo).
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Groen; his children, Gayle Hofstra (Gary), Greg Groen (Carolyn) and Lynn Evenhouse (Tom); his siblings, Lois Eenigenburg (Francis), Kenneth Groen (Geraldine), Judy Mejan (late Hans), Jim Groen (Greta), Evelyn Mejan (Max) and Cheryl Zimmerman (Rick); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Bronsema (Bill) and Randy Verbeek (Karen). He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
