It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Holzhauer Sr. of Kinmundy, Illinois, born in Pontiac, Illinois, who passed away on May 3, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul L. Holzhauer and Doris Holzhauer (Kindelberger); his brother Gerald; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Holzhauer, Robert Winks and Jack Duncan.
He is survived by: his sons, John Holzhauer, Jr. of Fort Madison and Jeremy Holzhauer of Joliet; his siblings, Janice Winks of Kinmundy, Janet Duncan of Kinmundy, Marsha Meister (LeRoy) of Fairbury, Jeff Holzhauer (Renia) of Pontiac, Rod Holzhauer (Jennifer) of Minonk and Michael Sexton (Karrie) of Kinmundy; his stepbrother Brian Hornickel (Karen) of Mt. Washington; and his stepmother Dolores Holzhauer of Fairbury. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SSM Hospice in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and will be accepted through the funeral home.
