She was predeceased by: her father Lawrence Beyer; her husband Robert J. Shimmin; her mother Lucille Keeney (Bennett); her stepfather Marvin Keeney; and her brother-in-law Jerry Workman.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda McKinstry (Brian) of Grant Park, IL, Lawrence Shimmin (Karen) of Coal Valley, Michael Shimmin (Melinda) of Kewanee, AFS and Barbara Lazzarina Adami (Val) of Brisbane, Australia; her grandchildren, Erica Ann Tholl (Todd), Mackenzie Shimmin, Marshall Shimmin (Caseelynn), Mitchell Shimmin, Patrick Hayes, Clayton, Shelby McKinstry, Val Adami Jr. and Nicholas Adami; her great grandchild Chase Tholl; her sisters, Beverly Williams (Dale) of Kewanee, Mary Keim (Ron) of Moline and Bonnie Thompson (Dan) of Princeton; and her stepsisters, Jeanne Roller (Larry) of Monticello and Bonnie Keeney of Texas.
