He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Wintjen; his wife Barb (Kallal); and his siblings, Laverne Iler (Darrell), Erma Cooprider and Donny Wintjen.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Powers (Garry) of Carlinville, Russell "Rusty" Wintjen Jr. (Melanie) of Kane, Robin Giberson of Kane, Debra Crain (Terry Miller) of Jerseyville and Larry Bridgeforth (Robin) of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; and his sister Dalene Lopez of Jerseyville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, two nephews and his great nieces and nephew.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
