He was predeceased by: his siblings, Amariah Lewis Allen "Ami" of Blairstown, IA. and Davis "Dave" Allen; his daughter Anne Laure (Dourdan); his parents, Bobby and Ami; and his brothers, Ami "Jack", Richard "Dick" and Thomas "Tom".
He is survived by: his sister Esther Davis Allen "Bobby" of Marion, IA; his wife Elisabeth; his son Realtors; his nephew Mark; and his daughter Isabel S. Allen of Paris.
Shortly before his passing, Douglas was transferred to Corbeil Essonne hospital, in France, where he suffered from health complications related particularly to COVID19, at the age of 97.
