It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis E Reynolds of Johnston City, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Colson and Beaulah Colson (Council); her husband Bill Reynolds; and her siblings, Lodema Ray, Nadine Annis, Leon Lane, Eugene Lane, Lloyd Lane and Lawrence Colson.
She is survived by: her former spouse Lindell Grant; her children, Beverly S. Parks of Johnston City, IL, Galen R. Grant of Johnston City, IL and Lindell "Butch" Grant of West Frankfort, IL; and her brothers, Rev. Don Colson of Herrin, IL and Ron Colson of Royalton, IL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
