With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Ayres of Jerseyville, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ayres and Freda Ayres (McCoy); his former wife Martha Louise Rogers; his wife Concetta "Connie" Pecorino; his son Daniel Ray Ayres; and his siblings, Vernon, Harold, Everett Zadock Ayres, Hazel Wallace, Emma Ayres and Marieta Ayres.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Ayres and Gary; his daughter-in-law Janice Ayres; his daughter Cheryl of Godfrey; his son-in-law Ron Brooks of Godfrey; his granddaughters, Kristen Willis of Affton, Holly (Austin Medlin), Martha (Casey Koveny) and Katie (Brandon Sabolo); his great grandchildren, Nathan Willis, Liam Medlin, Saydi, Judah Koveny, Joshua McBee and Barbara Ayres of Jerseyville; his sisters, Juanita Garrett of Carbondale, Grace (Hap Oliver), Phyllis (Gary Haynes) and Mary (Ronald Cresswell); and also Ernest.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be given to BJC Hospice, in honor of the love and support that they showed to Raymond and his family.
