It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jewell Rheadell Smith of Jerseyville, Illinois, born in Reyno, Arkansas, who passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Lester and Molissa Lester (Duff); her husband George Howard Smith; her son James Kevin Harp; and her siblings, Christine King, Sharon Smith, Opal Looney, Howard "Bud", Virel, Lee Roy, Jesse and Velta Lester.
She is survived by: her son Eric Harp of Mesquite, Texas; her grandchildren, Rick and Vicki Sherman of Jerseyville; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Logan, Lettie, Lawson Knabe of Jerseyville, Andrea, Jeremy, Jackson, Lola Yoder of Piasa and Willie Taylor of Kerrville, Texas.. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville.
