Newby of Jacksonville, Illinois, born in Monticello, Kentucky, who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Alexander and Dinah Alexander (Jones); her husband Earl Morris Newby; and her siblings, Glen Alexander, Faye Hicks and Mary Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Mellor (Ray) of Jacksonville, Dale Newby (Cindy) of Jacksonville and Gerald Newby (Edie) of Jacksonville; and her grandchildren, Lynn Bastoky (Zach), William Mellor (Michelle), Paul Newby (Alexa), Jonathon Newby, Jeffrey Newby and Kirkland Newby. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
