George Roegge Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Roegge of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Roegge and Selma Roegge (Nobis) of Arenzville, Illinois.; his wife Trudy Lockhart; and his siblings, Lorraine Quigg (late Baird), Kenneth Roegge, Harlan Roegge, Vera Patterson, Frieda Hines (late Larry), Charlie Roegge, Martha Phelps and David Roegge (late Judy).
He is survived by: his children, Niels Herlevsen (Claire) of Delray Beach, Theresa Herlevsen (Marc Kahan) of Chicago, Michelle Moeller (Mark) of Jacksonville and Bruce Roegge (Sara) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Zachary Roegge, Benjamin Herlevsen, Gavin Roegge, Max Moeller, Griffin Roegge and Jack Kahan; and his sister Joy Schnitker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church (222 E Beecher Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church, Lutherans for Life, or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
