He is survived by: his wife Helga Hester of Iuka; his son Thomas Hester (Cheryl) of Dix; his son-in-law Bob Ratts of Iuka; his grandchildren, Justin Ratts (Amie) of Alma, Jasmine Ratts of Iuka and Brandy Karcher (Kurt) of Dix; his great grandchildren, Kaleb Ratts of Alma, Kalin Bass of Alma, Zoey Ratts of Alma, Ella, Kaitlyn Karcher of Dix, Dalton, Miranda Hester of Ewing and Randy Hester, Jr. of Pinckneyville; and his siblings, Richard Hester of Salem, Loren Hester (Della) of Harrisburg, Frank Hester (Pamela) of DuQuoin, Chuck Hester of Ava, Bob Warren (Betty) of Zeigler, Bessie Russell of Salem, Rosetta Jones of Phoenix, Ala, Dorothy Hinton of DuQuoin and Jean Loucks of Cadet, Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
