He was predeceased by: his parent Taylor Rankin (Gladys); his former wife Elizabeth; and his brother Charlos Rankin. He is survived by: his parent Gladys Rankin; his wife Gerd Rankin; his children, Per Vidar Hansen (Faith), Lisbeth Fillmore (Richard) and Kari Mette Hansen (Steve Kruse); his grandchildren, Erik, Ingrid, Emily, Aaron, Adam, Per, Cameo and Karina; his great grandchildren, Payton, Preston, Caily, Drake, Laila, Naia, Mason, Devin, Gaige, Ever and Miranda; and his sister Shirley Argo (Arlan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to the American Diabetes Association, 55 E Monroe St #3420, Chicago, IL or Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church.
