He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Sorenson and Martha Sorenson; his wife Fay; his children, Steven Sorenson (Pam) and Sheryl Wilken (Dan); his grandchildren, Justin Murgia, Brandon Murgia, Kyle Sorenson, Eric Sorenson, Derek Wilken, Sean Wilken and Dan Wilken; his great grandchildren, Ali, Adric, Analyn, Ava and Rayna; his stepgrandchildren, Jamie Hruza (Rachael), Brad Hruza (Salome) and Melanie Pettry (Brian); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lesley, Rhyanna, Robert, Kaitlyn, Sophie and Brady; his daughter Sandra Murgia; and his grandson Kenny Murgia.
