He is survived by: his girlfriend Eleanor "Ellie" Silverman; his children, Dr. David Schessel (Marianne), Larry Schessel (Marcie), Robin Halap (Marc) and Marc Schessel (Terri); his grandchildren, Katie Dembowski (Ted), Leah Otens (Chad), Nikki Fleming (Andy Horvath), Sami Halap, Adam Schessel (Kristie Goodman) and Brian Halap; his great grandchildren, Nash, Sarah, Everly, Esme, Reid and Garrett; his sister Eve Plotkin (Norman); his brother-in-law Dr. Burton Siegel (Jeanne); his partner's children, Steven Silverman (Kristine Givan), David Silverman (Lisa) and Lisa Neu (Dave); and also, Paige Silverman, Andrea, Philip, Ike Silverman, Olivia and Sophie Richardson.
