It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Perry Young in Herrin, Illinois, born in Guston, Kentucky, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert R. Young and Minnie E. Young Sr. (Long); his siblings, Robert R. Young Jr., Lloyd D. Young and Laura Ellen Brown; and his former wife Judith Mae Young.
He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Young of Goreville, IL; his children, Carl C. Young (Mary), Jennifer E. Tompkins (Mark) of Orlando, FL and Cheri Galan (Adam) of Alameda, CA; his grandchildren, Taylor D. Young, Carlee Y. Fritz (Matthew), Mason D. Young, Natalie K. Tompkins, Nathan-Andrew Tompkins (Alyssa), Garrett-Adam Tompkins, Shayanne Elliott (Jonathan), Derek Galan and Jacob Galan; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Tompkins, Linceo Young, Colton Tompkins and Bennett Fritz. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
