He was predeceased by: his parents, Verzell Reed and Rachel Reed (Davis); and his siblings, Edward Verzell Reed, Rachel Louise Reed and Shirlen Gene Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Maxine McKinnies; his daughter Kathy L.; his son-in-law Bob Prather of Carbondale; his sons, Lonnie L. Reed of Carbondale and Kevin D. (Melody Reed); his grandchildren, Angela Cox (Matt), Ryan Prather (Autumn), Bryce Reed, Damon Reed and Tabitha Reed; and his great grandchildren, Austin Cox, Zoe Cox, Maddie Cox, Roman Prather, Zane Prather, Eden Prather and Finley Reed. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
