It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Leo Barnd Jr. of Herrin, Illinois, born in Harvey, Illinois, who passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Leo and Nina Barnd Sr. (Kennepp) of Virginia. He is survived by: his siblings, Patrick Barnd, Jim Barnd (Laura), Cherie Taliaferro, Betsy Zaccari (Frank), Debbie Barnd (Twila) and Jackie Barnd; and his nieces and nephews, Jacob Barnd, Kelly Barnd, Michael Barnd, Eric Barnd, Kristen Barnd, Dan Taliaferro, Tony Taliaferro, Jon Taliaferro and Nick Zaccari.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Carbondale Elks, or to Little League Baseball in Carterville or Herrin.
