With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lloyd Jones Jr. of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on June 25, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Charles and Geneva Jones Sr. (Robinson); his wife Peggy Knight; his siblings, Eugene, Raymond Jones and Carolyn Dormeier; his sons-in-law, Don Slaughter, Bob Cobb, Ron Cripps and Earl Kinley; his grandchildren, Daniel Thurman and Sabrina Rhianon Burley; and his pets, Pumpkin and Buddy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Slaughter of Marion, Janice Cobb of Marion, Christina Cripps of Johnston City and Alisa Kinley of Johnston City; his grandchildren, Thomas Thurman of South Rockwood, MI, Jason Bandy of Herrin, Shannon Bandy of Zeigler, Norman Burley of Johnston City, Sabrina Burley of Johnston City and Dustin Burley (Heather Bolte) of Johnston City; and his siblings, Delores Tanner (Gerald) of Creal Springs and Curtis Jones (Wilma) of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
