It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kent Hale of Herrin, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2021, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Tom Hale (Demova) and Ernest Hendrix (Anna Jewell); his father O. D. "Tod" Hendricks; and his sons, Zachary and Elijah Hale.
He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Jean Hendricks (Hale) of Crainville; his wife Juliann Hale of Herrin; his sons, Benjamin Hale (Erin) of Herrin and Nathanial Hale of Herrin; his grandchildren, Leah and Lucas Hale; his siblings, Judy Lee of Cambria, Michael Hendricks (Susan) of New Bern, April Long (Bob) of Johnston City, Autumn Sollami (Jeremy) of Crainville and Tod Hendricks (Holly) of Crainville; and his son S. Army. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
