He was predeceased by: his parents, Caesar Carnaghi and Theresa Carnaghi (Columbo); his wife Jeanne Carnaghi (Gossett); and his siblings, Mario "Mike" Carnaghi, Caesar Carnighi Jr., Louis "Vi" Carnaghi, Pauline Kovach and Charlotte Carnaghi.
He is survived by: his children, Carmen Y. Chiaventone (Patrick) of Herrin, IL, Mary J. Cook and Scott Cook of Johnston City, IL; his grandchildren, Jamie Chiaventone, Kristen Button (Bryce), Layton Chiaventone (Samantha Harper), Bo Carnaghi (Clair) and Heather Cook; and his great grandchildren, Kylie Button and Olivia Button.
