He was predeceased by: his wife Susie Hurley; his son Bobby Melson; and his son-in-law Mike Pepple. He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Pepple, Larry Melson (Susan), Roger Melson (Rita), Jim Melson (Lisa), Billy Melson (Sara), Frank Melson (Jerri) and Linda Russ (Clell); and his siblings, Herbert Melson and Elizabeth Harville. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
