She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gaines and Hallie Gaines (Lewis); her husband John Rush, Jr.; her son John Rush III; and her brothers, Leroy Lewis and C. A. Reak.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Rush (Lew Jean), Mae Becker and Rebecca Rush; and her sister Louise Fortier. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
